A free and easy way for schools, clubs and youth organisations nationwide (please see www.ecokidsproject.co.uk for where we operate) to raise funds through textile recycling. Our waste environment projects raise awareness of the 3 R's in schools (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) using innovative techniques and resources which support the curriculum. This generates a valuable additional funding stream for schools and helps deprived children and their families with affordable clothing. We aim to pay significantly more than our competitors for every tonne collected (£550 per tonne if you register for one collection per year, or an incredible £600 per tonne if you register for 2 or more yearly collections!)
What's more, we don't just collect textiles, we also want items of costume jewellery, bric-a-brac and even small portable electrical items in good working condition. We also collect books but these are weighed on a separate tariff to textiles of £50 per tonne.
